Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a general score of 74.5, which is much better than the Xperia Tablet S's overall score of 58.9. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 design is newer, much thinner and incredibly lighter than Xperia Tablet S. Both of these tablets come with Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a newer 4.4.2 version while Xperia Tablet S has Android 4.1.1.

The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features just a bit better performance than Sony Xperia Tablet S, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics co-processor, it also counts with 2 GB more RAM memory and 4 more CPU cores. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a much more vibrant display than Sony Xperia Tablet S, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a lot higher 2560 x 1600 resolution and way more pixels per inch of display.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features a greater camera than Xperia Tablet S. Both have the same resolution back-facing camera. Xperia Tablet S features a much bigger memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and although they both have a SD memory card expansion slot that holds a maximum of 128 GB, the Xperia Tablet S also has 64 GB internal memory.

Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a way better battery life than Sony Xperia Tablet S.

Even being the best tablet of the ones we compare here, Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is also a lot cheaper, which makes it a great choice.
