Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has an overall score of 74.5, which is much better than Xiaomi pad 5's general score of 57.7. These tablets include Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has the newer 4.4.2 version while Xiaomi pad 5 has Android 12 version, giving you a couple nice extra features and improved performance. Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4's construction is noticeably lighter and just a bit thinner than the Xiaomi pad 5, although it was released many years before.
Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features a way better looking display than Xiaomi pad 5, because although it has a lot smaller display, and they both have the same exact 2560 x 1600 resolution, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 also counts with a greater pixel density. The Xiaomi pad 5 features a superior memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 96 GB more internal storage capacity.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features an extremely better CPU than Xiaomi pad 5, although it has a lower amount of RAM, they both have 8 CPU cores. Xiaomi pad 5 features a much better battery performance than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has 8720mAh of battery capacity instead of 4900mAh. Xiaomi pad 5 captures way better pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has a back-facing camera with a much better resolution and a lot better video quality.
