Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a score of 74.4, which is slightly better than the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite's 74.2 general score. Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is an incredibly older tablet device than the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, but it's lighter and thinner anyway. These tablets have Android OS, but Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has the newer 4.4.2 version and Galaxy Tab A7 Lite has Android 11, giving you some extra features and increased performance.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with a much sharper display than Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a much better resolution of 2560 x 1600px and a way better screen pixel density. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite has a lot bigger storage capacity for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite also has an external SD slot that holds a maximum of 1 TB.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite features just a bit better processing power than Galaxy Tab S 8.4. Both of them have 8 CPU cores and 3 GB of RAM memory. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite features a little longer battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has a 5100mAh battery size instead of 4900mAh.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite takes much clearer videos and photos than Galaxy Tab S 8.4. Both of them have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality, the same 30 fps video frame rate and a same resolution camera.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is a better device, it is a little more expensive than Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite. If you want to save a few dollars, you can get Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, and give up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most with your money.
