Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a general score of 74.5, which is just a bit better than the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0-inch's 73.6 overall score. Despite being the best tablet in this review, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is an older, just a little heavier and somewhat thicker tablet than Galaxy Tab S2 8.0-inch.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0-inch features just a little better performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4. Both of them have the same RAM amount and 8 processing cores. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with a much better display than Galaxy Tab S2 8.0-inch, because it has a slightly better 2560 x 1600 resolution, a just a little more pixels per inch of display and a little larger display.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0-inch has a superior storage capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and although they both have an external SD slot that holds up to 128 GB, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0-inch also has 64 GB internal memory. Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features greater battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0-inch, because it has 4900mAh of battery capacity.
The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 shoots much clearer pictures and videos than Galaxy Tab S2 8.0-inch. Both have the same video frame rates, the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution and a 8 mega pixels back camera.
