Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is a little bit better than Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7-inch, with a 74.5 score against 74. The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is an older and somewhat thicker tablet than Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7-inch, but Samsung managed to build it incredibly lighter anyway. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7-inch has a little better performance than Galaxy Tab S 8.4. Both have 8 CPU cores and a 3 GB RAM.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with a more vivid screen than Galaxy Tab S2 9.7-inch, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with more pixels per inch of screen and a slightly higher resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 takes much better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7-inch. Both of them have the same resolution camera in the back, the same video frame rates and the same 1920x1080 video quality.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7-inch counts with a much better storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and although they both have a SD memory slot that admits up to 128 GB, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7-inch also has 64 GB internal storage capacity.
The Galaxy Tab S2 9.7-inch has longer battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has a 20% larger battery size.
