The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is a lot better than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), getting a overall score of 75.2 against 58.6. Both of these devices use the same Android 9.0 Pie OS (operating system), so you shouldn't see any differences regarding that. Even though the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is notably older and heavier than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), it's body is still a lot thinner.
Galaxy Tab S3 has a little faster processor than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), and although they both have 4 cores, the Galaxy Tab S3 also has more RAM memory. The Galaxy Tab S3 has a little more vivid screen than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because it has a better amount of pixels per inch of screen, a larger screen and a much better resolution of 1536 x 2048.
The Galaxy Tab S3 captures much better photographs and videos than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because it has a lot higher 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and a back-facing camera with much more MP.
