The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is better than the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, having a global score of 75.2 against 67.9. Both devices in this comparison review use Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 has the newer 9.0 Pie version and Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has Android 4.4, so it gives you a couple nice extra features. Samsung Galaxy Tab S3's design is newer and extremely thinner, but somewhat heavier than the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a much more vibrant display than Galaxy Tab S3, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a slightly higher resolution of 1600 x 2560px and a better pixel quantity per display inch. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 has a better storage capacity for games and applications than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, because although it has just 32 GB internal storage, it also counts with an external memory card slot that supports up to 256 GB.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with just a bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, although it has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have a Quad-Core CPU. The Galaxy Tab S3 takes much clearer videos and photos than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, because it has a lot better (4K) video definition, a larger camera aperture to capture better low light images and a back camera with a much higher resolution.
The Galaxy Tab S3 counts with a really longer battery lifetime than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.
