Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 has a score of 75.2, which is much better than the Samsung ATIV Tab 3's 65 overall score. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 body is noticeably newer, incredibly thinner and a lot lighter than Samsung ATIV Tab 3. Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 works with Android 9.0 Pie OS, and Samsung ATIV Tab 3 comes with Windows 8 OS.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 features a bit faster processor than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because it has more RAM and more CPU cores. The Galaxy Tab S3 features a little bit better looking screen than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a way higher pixel quantity per screen inch and a way higher 1536 x 2048 pixels resolution.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 has a much better camera than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because it has a lot more MP camera in the back and a much better 3840x2160 (4K) video quality. Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 counts with a quite bigger memory for apps and games than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, although it has just 32 GB internal storage capacity.

So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, else you can save some dollars and buy the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, resigning some features and specifications.
