Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 has a global score of 75.2, which is just a bit better than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4's global score of 74.4. Both of these devices come with Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 has a newer 9.0 Pie version and Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has Android 4.4.2 version, so it counts with a couple additional features and better performance. Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is a noticeably newer and a little thinner tablet than the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, but it is notably heavier.

Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a much better looking display than Galaxy Tab S3, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with more pixels per screen inch and a little bit higher 2560 x 1600px resolution. The Galaxy Tab S3 has just a bit bigger storage to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage, the Galaxy Tab S3 also has a slot for external memory cards that holds a maximum of 256 GB.

Galaxy Tab S3 counts with just a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because although it has 4 lesser CPU cores (but faster), it also counts with a higher amount of RAM. The Galaxy Tab S3 has superior battery life than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has a 22 percent larger battery size.

Galaxy Tab S3 shoots way better photos and videos than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has a much higher 3840x2160 video definition and a much more mega pixels camera in the back.

Although Galaxy Tab S3 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Galaxy Tab S3, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, giving up some specifications.
