Galaxy Tab S3 is slightly better than the Xperia Tablet Z, with a 75.2 score against 68.5. Both tablets in this review have Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab S3 has 9.0 Pie version and Xperia Tablet Z has Android 4.4.4 version, so it provides lots of additional features and performance optimizations. Galaxy Tab S3's design is much newer, somewhat thinner and lighter than Xperia Tablet Z.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 counts with a bit more powerful processor than Xperia Tablet Z, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processor, and they both have a Quad-Core processing unit, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 also counts with 2 GB more RAM. The Sony Xperia Tablet Z has just a bit better display than Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, because although it has a little bit worse display pixel density and a little bit worse resolution of 1200 x 1920, it also counts with a little bigger screen.
Galaxy Tab S3 has a greater storage capacity for games and applications than Xperia Tablet Z, and although they both have equal internal storage capacity, the Galaxy Tab S3 also has a slot for SD memory cards that holds up to 256 GB. The Galaxy Tab S3 has a way better camera than Sony Xperia Tablet Z, because it has a much higher (4K) video definition and a much higher 13 megapixels resolution camera.
The Sony Xperia Tablet Z counts with a battery performance that is just as good as the battery duration in Galaxy Tab S3.
Even being the best tablet between the ones we are comparing, Galaxy Tab S3 is also a bargain compared to others, which makes it a great choice.
