Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) has a global score of 82.4, which is slightly better than the Galaxy Tab S4's 78.8 overall score. Even being the best device we compare here, the Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) design is older, somewhat thicker and noticeably heavier than Galaxy Tab S4. The Galaxy Tab S4 counts with a little better hardware performance than Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), because although it has 12 GB less RAM memory, it also counts with more CPU cores (but slower).

The Galaxy Tab S4 has a bit more vivid display than Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), because although it has a little bit lower 1600 x 2560 resolution and a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a just a bit more pixels per inch of screen. Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) features a way bigger memory for applications and games than Galaxy Tab S4, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with more internal storage capacity.

Galaxy Tab S4 shoots way better videos and photos than Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), because it has a much more mega pixels camera and a much better video resolution. Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 features a very superior battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface Pro (2017).

Although Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), otherwise you can save some money and buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4, resigning a couple specs and features.
