The Galaxy Tab Active 3 has a global score of 79, which is a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4's 78.8 global score. Galaxy Tab Active 3 is a incredibly newer and lighter device than Samsung Galaxy Tab S4, although it is thicker. The Galaxy Tab Active 3 counts with a little faster processor than Galaxy Tab S4. They have the same RAM memory amount and 8 cpu cores.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 has a display that is very similar to the Galaxy Tab S4 one, although the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 has a much lower resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels, a just a bit less pixels per display inch and a way smaller screen. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 counts with a bigger storage capacity for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab S4, and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 also has an external SD slot that allows a maximum of 1 TB.
The Galaxy Tab S4 features a much better battery performance than Galaxy Tab Active 3, because it has 7300mAh of battery capacity. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 shoots much clearer pictures and videos than Galaxy Tab Active 3. Both of them have the same 30 fps video frame rate, the same 3840x2160 video definition and a back-facing camera with a 13 megapixels resolution.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy Tab S4, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy Tab S4. If you want to save some money, you can buy the Galaxy Tab S4, letting go a couple features, but you'll get the most with your budget.
