Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy View 2 has a global score of 65.3, which is a little bit better than the Dell Venue 8 7840's overall score of 61. Despite being the best tablet in this comparison review, Samsung Galaxy View 2 is a way thicker and much heavier tablet than Dell Venue 8 7840. These tablets use Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy View 2 has the newer 8.1 Oreo version while Dell Venue 8 7840 has Android 4.4, providing some extra features.
Dell Venue 8 7840 features an incredibly better looking display than Galaxy View 2, because although it has a way smaller screen, it also counts with a much higher display density and a higher resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. Galaxy View 2 has a much greater storage for games and applications than Dell Venue 8 7840, because although it has a SD card slot that holds a maximum of 400 GB against 512 GB, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory.
Dell Venue 8 7840 counts with a better processing unit than Galaxy View 2, because although it has lesser RAM and an inferior number of cores , it also counts with a 64-bits CPU and an additional GPU. Dell Venue 8 7840 shoots much better photographs and videos than Galaxy View 2. The Galaxy View 2 features a much better battery life than Dell Venue 8 7840.
Although Galaxy View 2 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Dell Venue 8 7840, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Dell Venue 8 7840. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Galaxy View 2, else you can save some dollars and buy the Dell Venue 8 7840, giving up some specs and features.
