LG G Pad X 10.1 is much better than the Sony Tablet S, with a overall score of 67.4 against 57.5. Both tablets in this review come with Android OS (Operating System), but the LG G Pad X 10.1 has the newer 5.1 Lollipop version and Sony Tablet S has Android 4.0. LG G Pad X 10.1 is a notably newer device, and it is also somewhat lighter and extremely thinner than the Sony Tablet S.
LG G Pad X 10.1 features a more powerful processing unit than Sony Tablet S, because it has a larger number of cores and a greater amount of RAM. LG G Pad X 10.1 has a bit more vivid screen than Sony Tablet S, because it has a little bit bigger display, a lot higher resolution of 1200 x 1920 and a better screen density.
The Sony Tablet S shoots just a bit better pictures and videos than LG G Pad X 10.1, although it has a back facing camera with a way lower resolution and a way worse 1280x720 (HD) video quality. LG G Pad X 10.1 counts with a much greater memory to store more apps and games than Sony Tablet S, and although they both have the same internal memory capacity, the LG G Pad X 10.1 also has a slot for an external memory card that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB.
LG G Pad X 10.1 counts with a really longer battery life than Sony Tablet S, because it has a 7400mAh battery capacity against 5000mAh.
