The Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 has an overall score of 65.6, which is much better than Sony Tablet S's 57.5 score. Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 is a a lot newer tablet, and it's also thinner and noticeably lighter than the Sony Tablet S. Both tablets in this review use Android operating system, but Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 has the newer 4.4.2 version while Sony Tablet S has Android 4.0 version, offering lots of additional features.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 features a better looking screen than Sony Tablet S, because although it has a much smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same 1280 x 800 resolution, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 also counts with a greater pixels count per inch in the display. The Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 has a little faster processor than Sony Tablet S, because it has a greater amount of RAM and 2 more cores.
Sony Tablet S counts with a much greater memory capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, because although it has a SD memory slot that holds 32 GB smaller, it also counts with more internal memory capacity. The Sony Tablet S features improved battery life than Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, because it has a 25 percent more battery size.
The Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 takes a bit better videos and photos than Sony Tablet S, although it has a lot less mega pixels back camera and a worse video quality.
Despite of being the best tablet of the ones in this comparison, the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 is also very cheap compared to the other devices, which makes this tablet a no doubt choice.
