The Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) has an overall score of 82.4, which is much better than the Sony Vaio Tap 11's overall score of 66. The Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) construction is somewhat thinner but just a little bit heavier than the Sony Vaio Tap 11. Both devices in our current comparison use Windows OS (operating system), but the Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) has older 10 Pro version while Sony Vaio Tap 11 has Windows 8.

Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) counts with just a bit better hardware performance than Sony Vaio Tap 11, and although they both have a Dual-Core processing unit, the Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) also has a greater amount of RAM. Sony Vaio Tap 11 features a bit better screen than Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), although it has a lot lower display density, a lot worse 1080 x 1920 resolution and a little smaller display.

Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) features much more memory for apps and games than Sony Vaio Tap 11, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 872 GB more internal memory. The Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) has a much better camera than Sony Vaio Tap 11. Both have a 8 MP back-facing camera.

The Sony Vaio Tap 11 features a much better battery life than Microsoft Surface Pro (2017).

Although Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Sony Vaio Tap 11, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Sony Vaio Tap 11. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Sony Vaio Tap 11, giving up some specs and features.
