Comparison review

The Microsoft Surface Pro has a general score of 63.2, which is slightly better than Sony Xperia Tablet S's 58.9 score. Despite being the best device in this comparison review, we must tell that it is also a somewhat thicker and extremely heavier device. The Microsoft Surface Pro comes with Windows 8 Pro operating system, and Sony Xperia Tablet S works with Android 4.1.1 operating system.

Microsoft Surface Pro has a bit faster processing unit than Xperia Tablet S, because although it has an inferior number of cores (although they are faster), it also counts with 3 GB more RAM memory and a faster graphics processing unit. The Microsoft Surface Pro counts with just a bit better screen than Sony Xperia Tablet S, because it has a much higher 1080 x 1920 resolution, a quite bigger display and a higher pixels density.

The Microsoft Surface Pro features slightly more memory capacity for games and applications than Xperia Tablet S, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with more internal storage capacity. The Microsoft Surface Pro and Xperia Tablet S both have really similar battery durations.

The Sony Xperia Tablet S has a much better camera than Microsoft Surface Pro, because it has a back camera with a much higher 8 mega pixels resolution.

Although Microsoft Surface Pro is a better device, it is way more expensive than Sony Xperia Tablet S, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Sony Xperia Tablet S. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Microsoft Surface Pro, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Sony Xperia Tablet S, letting go some specifications.
