Comparison review

Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has an overall score of 62.8, which is just a bit better than the Xperia Tablet S's score of 58.9. Both of these tablets work with Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has 7.1 Nougat version while Xperia Tablet S has Android 4.1.1 version, giving some nice extra features and performance optimizations. The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is a incredibly newer tablet, and it is also thinner and noticeably lighter than the Xperia Tablet S.

Xperia Tablet S has a little bit better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has lesser RAM memory, and they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia Tablet S also counts with an additional GPU. The Sony Xperia Tablet S counts with a little more vivid display than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has a little bit better count of pixels in each screen inch, a bit higher 800 x 1280 resolution and a larger screen.

The Xperia Tablet S features a lot bigger memory capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and although they both have a slot for SD memory cards that holds up to 128 GB, the Xperia Tablet S also has 64 GB internal storage. The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 counts with a superior battery life than Xperia Tablet S.

The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 captures a little bit better photos and videos than Sony Xperia Tablet S, although it has a way less mega-pixels resolution back camera.
