The Xperia Tablet Z is slightly better than the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, getting a 68.5 score against 67.9. Xperia Tablet Z's construction is a little bit thinner than the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, but it is extremely heavier and was released about a year before. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a slightly better storage capacity for apps and games than Sony Xperia Tablet Z, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory capacity. Sony Xperia Tablet Z features a way better battery lifetime than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features just a bit better camera than Sony Xperia Tablet Z, although it has a back camera with less mega pixels and a lower 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution.
