The Xperia Tablet Z has a global score of 68.5, which is better than Asus MeMO Pad 8's overall score of 61.2. The Asus MeMO Pad 8 features a bit faster processing unit than Xperia Tablet Z, although it has doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, they both have the same RAM memory amount and 4 processing cores. The Sony Xperia Tablet Z has a very superior battery life than Asus MeMO Pad 8. The Xperia Tablet Z captures slightly better photos and videos than Asus MeMO Pad 8, because it has a back facing camera with a much better resolution and a much higher 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality.
Although Xperia Tablet Z is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Asus MeMO Pad 8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Asus MeMO Pad 8. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Xperia Tablet Z, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Asus MeMO Pad 8, letting go some specs and features.
