Comparison review

The Sony Xperia Tablet Z is better than Huawei MediaPad M1, with a overall score of 68.5 against 61.5. Sony Xperia Tablet Z's design is somewhat thinner than the Huawei MediaPad M1, although it's extremely heavier and was released about 13 months before. Both tablets in our current comparison include Android OS (Operating System), but the Sony Xperia Tablet Z has newer 4.4.4 version and Huawei MediaPad M1 has Android 4.2.2, so it offers a couple nice extra features.

Sony Xperia Tablet Z has just a bit better hardware performance than Huawei MediaPad M1, and although they both have 4 cores, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z also has a larger amount of RAM and an extra graphics co-processor. Sony Xperia Tablet Z has a little more vivid display than Huawei MediaPad M1, because it has a larger display, a much better 1200 x 1920 resolution and a quite higher count of pixels in each display inch.

The Xperia Tablet Z takes much clearer pictures and videos than Huawei MediaPad M1, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Xperia Tablet Z also has a lot more MP camera in the back. Sony Xperia Tablet Z features a much greater storage capacity to store more games and applications than Huawei MediaPad M1, because it has a SD extension slot that holds up to 64 GB and 32 GB internal memory capacity.

Xperia Tablet Z has better battery lifetime than Huawei MediaPad M1, because it has a 25% more battery capacity.

Although Xperia Tablet Z is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Huawei MediaPad M1, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Huawei MediaPad M1. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Xperia Tablet Z, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Huawei MediaPad M1, letting go a couple specs and features.
