The Xperia Tablet Z construction is way lighter and much thinner than the Microsoft Surface 2, even though both of them were only released with a couple months difference. Xperia Tablet Z comes with Android 4.4.4 OS, and Microsoft Surface 2 works with Windows RT 8.1 OS.
