Comparison review
Xperia Tablet Z has a score of 68.5, which is slightly better than the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1's 66.3 score. Xperia Tablet Z's construction is newer, lighter and extremely thinner than the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. These devices have Android OS (Operating System), but Xperia Tablet Z has 4.4.4 version while Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 has Android 4.4 version, providing a lot of extra features and performance optimizations.
Xperia Tablet Z has a little faster processor than Galaxy Note 10.1, and although they both have 4 cpu cores and the same RAM memory amount, the Xperia Tablet Z also has an extra graphics processing unit. Xperia Tablet Z has a brighter screen than Galaxy Note 10.1, and although they both have a same size display, the Xperia Tablet Z also has a much greater count of pixels per inch in the screen and a lot higher resolution of 1200 x 1920.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 counts with a quite bigger memory for games and applications than Xperia Tablet Z, because although it has a slot for an external memory card that holds 32 GB smaller, it also counts with more internal memory capacity. Galaxy Note 10.1 features better battery performance than Xperia Tablet Z, because it has a 7000mAh battery capacity.
The Xperia Tablet Z has a lot better camera than Galaxy Note 10.1, because it has a lot higher video definition and a camera in the back with a much better 8.1 MP resolution.
Although Sony Xperia Tablet Z is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy Note 10.1, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy Note 10.1. If you want to save some dollars, you can get the Galaxy Note 10.1, and give up some specs and features, but you will get the most with your money.
