Comparison review

Xperia Tablet Z has a general score of 68.5, which is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T)'s global score of 65. The Xperia Tablet Z construction is lighter and noticeably thinner than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), although they were released only a couple of months apart. Both of these devices use Android OS (Operating System), but Xperia Tablet Z has newer 4.4.4 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has Android 4.1, providing some nice extra features and performance improvements.

The Xperia Tablet Z counts with a better display than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), and although they both have a same size display, the Xperia Tablet Z also has a much higher 1200 x 1920 resolution and a lot better screen pixels density. The Xperia Tablet Z counts with a superior memory for games and applications than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), because it has a SD card slot that holds up to 64 GB and more internal memory capacity.

The Xperia Tablet Z has just a bit better performance than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), and although they both have a 400 MHz GPU, the Xperia Tablet Z also has 2 more CPU cores and a greater amount of RAM. Sony Xperia Tablet Z has a very superior camera than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), and although they both have the same video quality and the same video frame rates, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z also has a lot better resolution camera.

Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) counts with longer battery performance than Xperia Tablet Z, because it has a 7000mAh battery capacity against 6000mAh.

Although Xperia Tablet Z is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T). If you want to save some dollars, you can buy the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), and give up a few features and specs, but you will get the most out of your budget.
