Comparison review

Xperia Tablet Z is better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), getting a score of 68.5 against 60.7. Both tablets in this comparison work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Xperia Tablet Z has the newer 4.4.4 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has Android 4.1, so it offers lots of additional features and improved performance. The Xperia Tablet Z design is newer and extremely thinner than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0)'s, but it's also way heavier.

The Sony Xperia Tablet Z has a superior processor than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has more RAM, a greater number of cores and an additional GPU. The Xperia Tablet Z has a little more vivid display than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a greater count of pixels per inch of display, a lot bigger screen and a much higher 1200 x 1920 resolution.

Sony Xperia Tablet Z features a bit bigger storage for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and although they both have exactly the same 32 GB internal storage, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z also has an external memory slot that allows a maximum of 64 GB. Xperia Tablet Z has a much longer battery duration than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a 50 percent bigger battery capacity.

Sony Xperia Tablet Z captures just a bit better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a back facing camera with a much better resolution and a lot better 1920x1080 video definition.

Although Xperia Tablet Z is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0). So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Xperia Tablet Z, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), giving up some features and specs.
