Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a score of 68.7, which is slightly better than Xperia Tablet Z's score of 68.5. Although the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch and the Xperia Tablet Z were released with only a couple of months difference, Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch's body is a little bit thicker but a lot lighter than the Xperia Tablet Z. These tablets come with Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has an older 4.2.2 version while Xperia Tablet Z has Android 4.4.4 version.
The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch features a bit superior CPU than Xperia Tablet Z, because although it has 512 MB lesser RAM memory and 2 less cpu cores, it also counts with a faster graphics co-processor running at 1.06 gigahertz. The Sony Xperia Tablet Z has a brighter display than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has a bit higher display pixel density, a much better resolution of 1200 x 1920px and a bigger screen.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch takes slightly better pictures and videos than Xperia Tablet Z, although it has a way worse 1280x720 (HD) video resolution and a much lower 5 mega pixels resolution back camera. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch and Sony Xperia Tablet Z count with similar memory for applications and games, both have equal 32 GB internal storage capacity and a SD extension slot that supports up to 64 GB.
Sony Xperia Tablet Z has greater battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has 6000mAh of battery capacity.
