Comparison review
Xperia Tablet Z is just a bit better than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, getting a 68.5 score against 67.8. Xperia Tablet Z is an older and a bit heavier portable tablet than the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, but Sony managed to build it somewhat thinner anyway. Both tablets in this comparison review use Android OS (Operating System), but the Xperia Tablet Z has the newer 4.4.4 version while Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has Android 4.4.2, so it offers a lot of extra features and better performance.
The Sony Xperia Tablet Z features a bit faster processing unit than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because although it has a weaker graphics processing unit running at 400 MHz, and they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z also counts with a greater amount of RAM memory. Xperia Tablet Z counts with a brighter display than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and although they both have a screen with the same size, the Xperia Tablet Z also has a lot higher display pixels density and a way better 1200 x 1920 resolution.
Xperia Tablet Z features a much greater memory capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and although they both have an external SD slot that allows a maximum of 64 GB, the Xperia Tablet Z also has 16 GB more internal memory capacity. The Xperia Tablet Z has a bit better camera than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because it has a much higher video quality and a lot more megapixels back-facing camera.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has a bit superior battery duration than Xperia Tablet Z, because it has 6800mAh of battery capacity.
Although Xperia Tablet Z is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Xperia Tablet Z, otherwise you can save some money and buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, letting go a couple features and specifications.
