Comparison review

Sony Xperia Tablet Z has an overall score of 68.5, which is a little bit better than the Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE's 63.5 global score. Sony Xperia Tablet Z's body is somewhat thinner but extremely heavier than the Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE. Both of these tablets include Android OS (operating system), but Sony Xperia Tablet Z has newer 4.4.4 version while Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE has Android 4.0, so it counts with some nice extra features.

Xperia Tablet Z has a little sharper display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE, because it has a bit greater pixel count in each screen inch, a much better resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels and a really larger screen. The Sony Xperia Tablet Z features a bit faster processing unit than Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE, because it has a better 400 megahertz graphics processor, a larger amount of RAM memory and a higher number of cores (and faster).

The Sony Xperia Tablet Z captures better photographs and videos than Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE, because it has a much higher 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution and a camera with a way higher resolution. The Xperia Tablet Z counts with a much better storage capacity to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE, because it has an external SD slot that holds up to 64 GB and more internal memory capacity.

The Sony Xperia Tablet Z features just a little better battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE, because it has an 18% bigger battery capacity.

Although Sony Xperia Tablet Z is a better device, it costs a lot more than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Sony Xperia Tablet Z, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE, giving up some features and specs.
