Sony Xperia Tablet Z is much better than Galaxy Tab A (2016), having a general score of 68.5 against 60.4. Sony Xperia Tablet Z's body is way thinner than Galaxy Tab A (2016), but it's heavier and was released 3 years before. Both of these tablets include Android OS (Operating System), but the Sony Xperia Tablet Z has the previous 4.4.4 version and Galaxy Tab A (2016) has Android 5.1 Lollipop.

The Xperia Tablet Z has just a bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia Tablet Z also has 512 MB more RAM memory and an extra GPU.
