Comparison review

The Xperia Tablet Z has a general score of 68.5, which is slightly better than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017)'s score of 65.7. Both of these devices come with Android OS (Operating System), but the Xperia Tablet Z has older 4.4.4 version while Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) has Android 9.0 Pie. Although the Xperia Tablet Z is much older and extremely heavier than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), it's design is still thinner.

Xperia Tablet Z features a way better display than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), because it has a just a bit greater pixel density, a much higher 1200 x 1920 resolution and a larger screen. The Sony Xperia Tablet Z has just a bit better performance than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), and although they both have the same RAM memory amount and 4 processing cores, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z also has an extra GPU.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) shoots much clearer pictures and videos than Sony Xperia Tablet Z, although it has a lesser mega pixels resolution back-facing camera and a lower 1920x1080 video quality. Xperia Tablet Z has just a bit bigger storage for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), because although it has a slot for external memory cards that supports up to 64 GB against 256 GB, it also counts with more internal memory.

The Sony Xperia Tablet Z counts with improved battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), because it has a 6000mAh battery capacity instead of 5000mAh.
