Comparison review
The Sony Xperia Tablet Z is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, having a 68.5 score against 67. Despite of the fact the Sony Xperia Tablet Z is older and noticeably heavier than the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, it's body is still much thinner. These tablets work with Android OS, but Sony Xperia Tablet Z has newer 4.4.4 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has Android 4.4, counting with lots of additional features and performance tweaks.
Xperia Tablet Z features a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab Active, because although it has a slower GPU working at 400 MHz, and they both have a Quad-Core processor, the Xperia Tablet Z also counts with a greater amount of RAM. Xperia Tablet Z features a little sharper display than Galaxy Tab Active, because it has a larger display, a way better resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels and a little bit greater screen pixels density.
The Xperia Tablet Z takes clearer photographs and videos than Galaxy Tab Active, because it has a camera in the back with lot more megapixels and a lot better 1920x1080 video quality. Sony Xperia Tablet Z features a superior storage capacity for games and applications than Galaxy Tab Active, and although they both have a SD memory slot that supports a maximum of 64 GB, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z also has more internal memory capacity.
The Xperia Tablet Z features superior battery performance than Galaxy Tab Active, because it has 6000mAh of battery capacity.
Although Xperia Tablet Z is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, giving up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
