Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with a better display than Sony Xperia Tablet Z, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a better 2560 x 1600 resolution and a lot greater pixel count per screen inch. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features a slightly bigger memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xperia Tablet Z, and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 also has a slot for an external memory card that allows up to 128 GB.
The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features a bit superior processor than Sony Xperia Tablet Z, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, it also counts with a larger number of cores and a greater amount of RAM. Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 takes better videos and photos than Xperia Tablet Z, although it has a back facing camera with a lower resolution and a worse video definition.
Xperia Tablet Z counts with superior battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has a 22 percent larger battery size.
