The Xperia Tablet Z is much better than Sony Tablet S, with a 68.5 score against 57.5. The Xperia Tablet Z design is newer, somewhat lighter and notably thinner than the Sony Tablet S. These tablets have Android OS, but the Xperia Tablet Z has a more recent 4.4.4 version and Sony Tablet S has Android 4.0 version, giving lots of additional features.

Sony Tablet S captures just a bit better photographs and videos than Xperia Tablet Z, although it has a way lower 5 MP resolution camera in the back and a way worse video definition. Sony Xperia Tablet Z features slightly more memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Sony Tablet S, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z also has an external memory card slot that supports up to 64 GB.
Xperia Tablet Z counts with better battery performance than Sony Tablet S, because it has a 20 percent more battery size.
Sony Xperia Tablet Z is a little more expensive than the Sony Tablet S, but you can get a better tablet for that extra dollars.
