Huawei MediaPad X2 is a newer and noticeably lighter tablet than the Xperia Tablet Z, although it's also just a bit thicker. These tablets include Android OS, but Huawei MediaPad X2 has newer 5.0 version while Xperia Tablet Z has Android 4.2.2.

Huawei MediaPad X2 has a greater hardware performance than Xperia Tablet Z, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics co-processor, and they both have the same RAM amount, the Huawei MediaPad X2 also counts with more CPU cores and a 64-bits CPU. Huawei MediaPad X2 counts with a better screen than Sony Xperia Tablet Z, because although it has a lot smaller screen, and they both have an equal 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution, the Huawei MediaPad X2 also counts with a higher screen pixels density.
