Comparison review
GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) is better than the Xperia Z2 Tablet, with a global score of 77.4 against 69.8. Both of these devices use Android operating system, but the GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) has older 4.4.2 version and Xperia Z2 Tablet has Android 4.4.4. Even being the best in our current comparison, the GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) is a heavier and thicker tablet than Xperia Z2 Tablet.
The Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) has a processing unit that is just as good as Xperia Z2 Tablet's processing unit, both of them have a 450 MHz graphics co-processor, the same number of cores and 3 GB of RAM. GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) has a bit more vivid screen than Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet, and although they both have a same size display, the GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) also has a better resolution of 1600 x 2560px and a higher pixels density.
The Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet takes clearer photos and videos than Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition), and although they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet also has a camera in the back with a better resolution. GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) has a way bigger storage to install games and applications than Xperia Z2 Tablet, and although they both have a SD memory slot that supports up to 64 GB, the GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) also has more internal storage.
Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) features a much better battery lifetime than Xperia Z2 Tablet, because it has 8220mAh of battery capacity.
Although GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Xperia Z2 Tablet, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xperia Z2 Tablet. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition), but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Xperia Z2 Tablet, resigning some features and specifications.
