The Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact is a little bit better than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, getting a global score of 71.3 against 65. The Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact is a newer tablet device, and it is also way thinner and extremely lighter than the Samsung ATIV Tab 3. The Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact has Android 4.4 OS, and Samsung ATIV Tab 3 counts with Windows 8 OS.
Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact counts with a greater processing power than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because it has more cores, a greater amount of RAM memory and a graphics co-processor. Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact counts with a much better looking screen than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because although it has a way smaller screen, it also counts with a way higher resolution of 1920 x 1200px and a way better pixels quantity per inch in the screen.
The Samsung ATIV Tab 3 counts with a better storage capacity to install games and applications than Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory capacity. The Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact features a very superior battery life than Samsung ATIV Tab 3.
The Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact counts with a way better camera than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same (Full HD) video definition, the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact also has a lot higher 8.1 mega-pixels resolution back facing camera.
Although Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Samsung ATIV Tab 3. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get Samsung ATIV Tab 3, giving up a few features and specs, but you will get the most with your money.
