Comparison review
The Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact has a general score of 71.3, which is just a bit better than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch's global score of 68.7. Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact's construction is newer, thinner and lighter than the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch. Both tablets we are comparing here have Android OS (operating system), but the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact has the newer 4.4 version while Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has Android 4.2.2 version, counting with some nice extra features and enhanced performance.
The Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact features a much better looking screen than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, and although they both have a screen with the same size, the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact also has a greater display pixel density and a way higher 1920 x 1200px resolution. Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact features just a bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because although it has a slower GPU, it also counts with more RAM and a larger number of cores.
The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch counts with a better memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, because although it has a slot for SD memory cards that holds a maximum of 64 GB against 128 GB, it also counts with more internal storage capacity. The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch's battery life is very similar to Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact's battery life, although the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a 1% smaller battery capacity.
Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact captures clearer photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has a way higher (Full HD) video definition and a back facing camera with lot more mega pixels.
Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact costs a little more money than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, but it's still a convenient choice, because you can get a much better tablet for that extra money.
