Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has a score of 74.5, which is just a bit better than the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact's 71.3 global score. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 construction is much newer than the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact's, although it's way heavier and somewhat thicker. Both tablets in our current comparison work with Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has newer 9.0 Pie version and Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact has Android 4.4 version, counting with some nice extra features and enhanced performance.

The Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact features a bit more powerful processing unit than Galaxy Tab A 10.5, because although it has less cores , and they both have the same RAM amount, the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact also counts with an extra graphics processor. The Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact counts with a much sharper screen than Galaxy Tab A 10.5, because although it has a way smaller display, and they both have exactly the same 1920 x 1200 resolution, the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact also counts with a better amount of pixels per display inch.

The Galaxy Tab A 10.5 features a very superior storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, because it has 16 GB more internal storage and a slot for an SD memory card that allows a maximum of 400 GB. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 features a very superior battery performance than Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, because it has 7300mAh of battery capacity instead of 4500mAh.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 shoots better photos and videos than Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, because although it has a worse (Full HD) video definition and a lower resolution back facing camera, it also counts with a much larger aperture.

Although Galaxy Tab A 10.5 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Galaxy Tab A 10.5, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, letting go some specifications.
