Comparison review
The Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet is slightly better than the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, getting a overall score of 74.7 against 67.9. Both tablets in this review work with Android operating system, but the Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet has the newer 5.0 version and Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has Android 4.4 version, so it provides you a couple nice extra features. The Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet body is a bit heavier but way thinner than the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.
The Xperia Z4 Tablet features a little better performance than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, because it has a 64 bits processor, an extra graphics processor, 1 GB more RAM memory and 4 more cpu cores (although slower). The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a bit better looking screen than Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet, because although it has a little smaller screen, and they both have the same exact resolution of 1600 x 2560px, the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 also counts with a bit higher pixel number per screen inch.
The Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet counts with a little bit better memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, because although it has just 32 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with an external memory card slot that allows a maximum of 128 GB. Xperia Z4 Tablet has a much longer battery performance than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 captures a little bit better photos and videos than Xperia Z4 Tablet, although it has a camera in the back with lesser mega-pixels resolution and a lower (Full HD) video resolution.
Although Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Amazon Fire HDX 8.9. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, resigning some specifications.
