The Xperia Z4 Tablet has a score of 74.7, which is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4's global score of 74.5. These tablets have Android OS (Operating System), but Xperia Z4 Tablet has a more recent 5.0 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has Android 4.4.2 version, providing the user some additional features. The Xperia Z4 Tablet is a much heavier but just a little thinner tablet device than the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4.
The Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet features a faster processing unit than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and although they both have a 3 GB RAM and a Octa-Core processor, the Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet also has a 64-bit processor and a graphics processing unit. The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features a little sharper display than Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet, because although it has a quite smaller display, and they both have an equal resolution of 2560 x 1600, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 also counts with a little bit more pixels per inch of screen.
The Galaxy Tab S 8.4's storage to store more games and applications is just as good as Xperia Z4 Tablet's one, they have equal internal storage and a SD memory card expansion slot that admits up to 128 GB. Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a superior camera than Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet, although it has a less mega pixels back camera and a worse video quality.

Although Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy Tab S 8.4. If you want to save some dollars, you can buy the Galaxy Tab S 8.4, giving up a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
