Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface 3 has an overall score of 66.3, which is much better than Toshiba Encore 2 10.1-inch's score of 55.9. The Microsoft Surface 3 construction is newer and a little thinner than Toshiba Encore 2 10.1-inch's, but it is also heavier. The Toshiba Encore 2 10.1-inch counts with a bit sharper display than Microsoft Surface 3, although it has a little smaller display, a lot worse display pixels density and a lot lower 1280 x 800 resolution.
Microsoft Surface 3 has a very superior storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Toshiba Encore 2 10.1-inch, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity. The Toshiba Encore 2 10.1-inch has a little better processing power than Microsoft Surface 3, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, the Toshiba Encore 2 10.1-inch also counts with a 64-bit processor.
Microsoft Surface 3 features a battery duration that's very similar to the battery performance in Toshiba Encore 2 10.1-inch. The Toshiba Encore 2 10.1-inch features a slightly better camera than Microsoft Surface 3, although it has a way worse 5 megapixels resolution back facing camera and a lower 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition.
Microsoft Surface 3 costs a lot more than the Toshiba Encore 2 10.1-inch, but you can get a better tablet for that extra dollars.
