Comparison review
Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) is much better than Toshiba Encore 2 10.1-inch, with an 82.4 score against 55.9. Microsoft Surface Pro (2017)'s construction is way newer and a little bit thinner, but also extremely heavier than Toshiba Encore 2 10.1-inch. Both devices in this comparison review have Windows OS (operating system), but the Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) has the older 10 Pro version and Toshiba Encore 2 10.1-inch has Windows 8.1 version.
The Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) has a bit more vivid display than Toshiba Encore 2 10.1-inch, because it has a larger screen, a way better quantity of pixels per inch in the screen and a lot better 2736 x 1824 pixels resolution. The Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) counts with a much better memory for games and applications than Toshiba Encore 2 10.1-inch, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with more internal memory capacity.
The Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) features a bit better CPU than Toshiba Encore 2 10.1-inch, because although it has a 32 bits processor against 64-bits and an inferior number of cores (but faster), it also counts with a higher amount of RAM memory. The Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) counts with a battery duration that's just as good as the Toshiba Encore 2 10.1-inch one.
Toshiba Encore 2 10.1-inch counts with just a bit better camera than Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), although it has a back camera with much less MP and a worse 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality.
Although Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Toshiba Encore 2 10.1-inch, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Toshiba Encore 2 10.1-inch. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Toshiba Encore 2 10.1-inch, resigning some features and specs.
