Comparison review
Samsung Ativ Tab is much better than the Toshiba Encore 2 10.1-inch, with a global score of 66.7 against 55.9. These tablets have Windows OS (Operating System), but Samsung Ativ Tab has the newer RT version and Toshiba Encore 2 10.1-inch has Windows 8.1, so it gives you a couple nice extra features. Samsung Ativ Tab is a a little heavier tablet than Toshiba Encore 2 10.1-inch, but both have the same thickness.
The Toshiba Encore 2 10.1-inch has a little bit better hardware performance than Samsung Ativ Tab, because although it has a lower amount of RAM and doesn't have an additional graphics processing unit, it also counts with a 64-bit CPU and more CPU cores (but slower). The Toshiba Encore 2 10.1-inch counts with a little bit better looking display than Samsung Ativ Tab, although it has a little worse resolution of 1280 x 800 and a quite worse display pixels density, they both have a display with the same size.
The Toshiba Encore 2 10.1-inch shoots much better photographs and videos than Samsung Ativ Tab, and although they both have a same resolution back-facing camera, the Toshiba Encore 2 10.1-inch also has a way higher (Full HD) video quality. Samsung Ativ Tab counts with a better memory capacity for apps and games than Toshiba Encore 2 10.1-inch, because although it has an external SD slot that allows 64 GB smaller, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory capacity.
Samsung Ativ Tab counts with a much longer battery duration than Toshiba Encore 2 10.1-inch.
Samsung Ativ Tab costs a lot more money than the Toshiba Encore 2 10.1-inch, but it's still a good choice, because you can get a lot more features for that extra money.
