The Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has a global score of 74.5, which is better than Xiaomi Mi Pad 2's score of 65.7. Galaxy Tab A 10.5's design is newer than the Xiaomi Mi Pad 2's, but it is a lot heavier and somewhat thicker. The Galaxy Tab A 10.5 comes with Android 9.0 Pie operating system, and Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 has Android operating system.
The Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 features a sharper screen than Galaxy Tab A 10.5, because although it has a way smaller display, it also counts with a quite better 1536 x 2048 pixels resolution and more pixels per inch of screen. If you are trying to save some money, you can buy the Xiaomi Mi Pad 2, giving up a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your money.
