Comparison review
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a score of 67.9, which is slightly better than Xiaomi MiPad's 64.4 general score. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 construction is just a little thinner but a little bit heavier than the Xiaomi MiPad, and both of them were only released 5 months apart. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a bit more vivid display than Xiaomi MiPad, because it has a little bigger display, a bit higher pixel density and a bit higher 1600 x 2560 resolution.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features more storage to store more apps and games than Xiaomi MiPad, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a bit better processor than Xiaomi MiPad. Both have a Quad-Core processing unit and the same RAM amount.
The Xiaomi MiPad counts with a very superior battery duration than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9. The Xiaomi MiPad features a slightly better camera than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, and although they both have the same video frame rates, a same resolution back-facing camera and the same (Full HD) video quality, the Xiaomi MiPad also has a bigger aperture to capture better low light captures and video.
Although Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Xiaomi MiPad, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xiaomi MiPad. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get the Xiaomi MiPad, giving up a couple features, but you will get the most out of your savings.
