Comparison review
Xperia Tablet Z is a little bit better than Xiaomi MiPad, getting a general score of 68.5 against 64.4. Xperia Tablet Z's body is somewhat thinner than Xiaomi MiPad, although it is way heavier and was released only 16 months before. Xiaomi MiPad features a little bit better screen than Xperia Tablet Z, because although it has a way smaller screen, it also counts with a greater display density and a bit higher resolution of 2048 x 1536px.
The Xperia Tablet Z has a greater storage capacity to store more games and applications than Xiaomi MiPad, because although it has a SD memory card expansion slot that holds a maximum of 64 GB against 128 GB, it also counts with more internal memory. Xiaomi MiPad counts with a bit better processing power than Sony Xperia Tablet Z, although it has doesn't have an additional GPU, they both have the same number of cores and 2 GB of RAM memory.
Xiaomi MiPad captures much clearer videos and photos than Sony Xperia Tablet Z, although it has a lower video quality and a camera in the back with less mega-pixels. Xiaomi MiPad has a little longer battery performance than Sony Xperia Tablet Z, because it has a 12% bigger battery capacity.
Although Xperia Tablet Z is a better device, it costs a lot more than Xiaomi MiPad, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xiaomi MiPad. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Xperia Tablet Z, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Xiaomi MiPad, resigning a couple features and specs.
