The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is slightly better than Xiaomi pad 5, having a 62.8 score against 57.7. The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is a older and a little thicker device than Xiaomi pad 5, but Samsung managed to build it lighter anyway. Both tablets in this review have Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has newer 7.1 Nougat version and Xiaomi pad 5 has Android 12, providing the user some additional features and optimized performance.
The Xiaomi pad 5 has a little more vivid display than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has a much larger screen, a way better count of pixels per inch in the screen and a lot higher 1600 x 2560 resolution. The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 counts with a much more powerful processing unit than Xiaomi pad 5, although it has a lower number of cores (although they are faster) and lesser RAM.
Xiaomi pad 5 has a way bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity. The Xiaomi pad 5 counts with a very superior battery life than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has a 108% larger battery size.
Xiaomi pad 5 shoots greater photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has a back facing camera with a lot higher 13 megapixels resolution and a lot higher 3840x2160 (4K) video quality.
