Pantech Element Review

Pantech Element is a decent quality Android device launched back in 2012, which features an extremely powerful 1500 MHz Dual-Core CPU, a pretty large 8" touch-screen, a 5 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 2 MP front camera. Let's take a deeper look at what this portable tablet has to offer.

This tablet is quite thin and comfortable, whereas it's not as slim as many other tablet devices on sale, with a thickness of 0.42". The Pantech Element is a very compact tablet, taking into consideration it features a 8 inches screen and it only has 8.36" long and 6.12 inches wide. It appears that Pantech didn't care much about the weight in this 16.57 oz portable tablet.

Pantech designed this tablet with an average 8-inches display, and a resolution of 768 x 1024 , giving this portable tablet a nice graphical experience. This display uses TFT capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.

This tablet comes with a great Dual-Core processing unit speeding at 1500 megahertz, included in the Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 APQ8060 system chip with only 1 GB of RAM memory which is a little bit disappointing for such a powerful tablet. Collaborating with graphic rendering, this device also counts with a 266 megahertz Adreno 220 graphics processing unit. A good point of the Pantech Element is its quite large 16 GB internal storage memory and an SD extension slot, which allows the user to store hundreds of applications and games without any trouble.

This tablet provides wifi connection (but it can't share it with other devices acting as a hotspot), 4G (LTE) fast data connection and 3G fast data connection, over HSPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This device works with a Micro SIM card for GSM services.

This tablet has two cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 2 mega-pixels front camera. It also films HD 1280x720 videos. To complete the camera, it also has flash.

This tablet also comes with a couple of nice characteristics such as Bluetooth and GPS, and a couple sensors likeLight Sensor and Accelerometer.

This tablet counts with a high capacity 6400 mAh non-removable battery that can keep this portable tablet running for several hours without charging it at all. An issue to consider is that the Pantech Element's battery is not removable so you won't be able to replace it when it begins to lose capacity, while having 6400 mAh you will probably replace this tablet before that happens.

No matter whether you want it to play tons of games or are looking for a tablet device to mostly use social networks, this portable tablet is probably a very good choice .
