Apparently Sharp forgot about weight optimization in this 13.72 ounces tablet device. Sharp only sells this tablet in black color. Whereas this tablet is only 7.68 inches long, it is still able to fit a a 7 inches screen.
This tablet comes with a great performance 1 gigahertz Dual-Core CPU, packed into a NVIDIA Tegra 2 system chip with 1000 MB RAM memory.
The Sharp Galapagos features two cameras, a 5 megapixels back side camera and a 2 mega-pixels front-facing camera. In addition, the camera has auto-focus and flash.
The Sharp Galapagos has a good level 7" display with a 600 x 1024 resolution, which makes all photos and movies look quite colorful and brightful. Its display uses TFT capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.
The Sharp Galapagos provides WiFi connection (although it can't be provided to other devices as a mobile hotspot). This tablet doesn't have a sim card, because it doesn't work with GSM services.
This tablet also features Bluetooth (2.1, EDR), and a couple sensors likeLight Sensor, Accelerometer and Gyroscope.
