The Galaxy Note 3 has a general score of 80.7, which is much better than the Alcatel OneTouch 997's overall score of 49.2. Both phones in this review come with Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Note 3 has a more recent 5.0 version and Alcatel OneTouch 997 has Android 4.1.1 version, offering a couple nice extra features and performance improvements. The Galaxy Note 3 is a much thinner but heavier phone than the Alcatel OneTouch 997.
